Project Overview:
Community sporting clubs increasingly rely on digital technology to enhance the game-day experience for players, members, and spectators. Chirnside Park Football Club and Cricket Club in Melbourne sought a modern LED scoreboard solution that could support both AFL and cricket competitions while also providing a valuable platform for local business sponsorship.
To support this initiative, Metromatics supplied and coordinated the installation of two full-colour LED scoreboards using our partner’s LED display technology, integrated with a fanless industrial computer and scoreboard software designed specifically for community sport.
Chrinside Park – Main Oval LED Scoreboard
The primary display was installed on the exterior of the clubhouse overlooking one of the main sporting ovals. This location allows spectators, players, and officials to easily view the scoreboard during both football and cricket matches.

This large-format display delivers clear visibility across the entire playing field and surrounding spectator areas. The relatively fine pixel pitch ensures crisp graphics and readable scoring information even when viewed from closer distances around the oval.
Secondary Oval LED Scoreboard
A second LED display was installed on a dedicated structure positioned outside the boundary of another playing oval within the Chirnside Park sporting precinct.

Local businesses that support the club can promote their services to members and spectators attending matches throughout the season. This provides clubs with an additional revenue stream while strengthening connections with the local business community.
