Berwick in Victoria is a busy little hub. For the last nine months, there has been an increase in building and infrastructure activity. So, to let the community know what was going on – an Outdoor LCD Touchscreen Digital Information Kiosk was installed.
This digital signage solution was conveniently located on the corner of Kangan Drive & Clyde Road. Just off the footpath where the local public walkway to Berwick Station ends. It provided an opportunity to inform the local community about what was going on around them and how they would benefit.
Clyde road in Berwick used to be a traffic nightmare in peak hour. Traffic would be queued back for kilometres, trying to cross the railway tracks. Whose boom gates seemed to be constantly down with the number of trains heading into town. However, in February 2022, it was Berwick’s turn to have their dangerous and congested level crossing removed.
The Single 55” IP65 Rated Outdoor Digital Kiosk was installed in November 2021.
It provided detailed information and clear viewable images to the users what the new level crossing would like in Berwick and highlighted the benefits it would provide ie. More safety, less congestion. This public information display was able to provide information on other projects around town – simply accessed by using the touchscreen to click to other pages. Items such as the upgrade to the bus interchange and railway station.
