Metromatics recently partnered with Naturform to provide the residents and tourists of Brisbane a brand new colour LED Entry Sign for the Brisbane Botanical Gardens at Mt Coot-tha.

The 10mm pitch LED Screen will provide visitors with valuable park information. Such as: What’s happening in the park, Hours of Operation, Conditions and Upcoming Special events.

Several Companies were involved in the build and installation of the LED Screen. Naturform is a Brisbane based company who specialise in outdoor playgrounds and street scapes. They were responsible for the delivery and installation of the project. They contracted Metromatics to design the screen, footing and support structure. Working with Caboolture based Ian Barnes and Associates, we designed a certified footing and support frame with embedded piers – which worked perfectly as the installation location was on a bank with a small creek running behind it. Bluestone rocks cover the footing.

The LED screen has a resolution of 192 width x 312 height with a 10mm pitch. The surrounds of the LED Display were in a Corten Finish (which eliminates the need for painting and forms a modern stable rust-like appearance). The LED Screen Controller has an auto source HDMI Input.  Testing completed immediately. Simply, by hooking in a laptop and sourcing the appropriate image.
